The Marlburian Club Annual Dinner 2014

The Marlburian Club Annual Dinner 2014 was held in the elegant surroundings of the Royal Automobile Club.

The Annual Dinner was once again held in the atmospheric surroundings of the Royal Automobile Club. The Club President, Lord Janvrin (B1 1960-64) spoke persuasively about the importance of connection, networking and development and keeping the spirit of philanthropy alive for the benefit of younger members.  The Master, Jonathan Leigh updated guests on the many outstanding achievements of current pupils.

Attendees included a table of OM golfers, many generations of fathers and sons (Roger and Alexander Backhouse (C3 1974-79 and LI 2005-10), Christopher and Philip Chope (SU 1961-65) and LI 2005-10), Alexander and Hamish Woodhouse (B3 1974-79 – and LI 2005-10), BBC Correspondent, Frank Gardner (LI 1974-79) and Charles Spencer Benard (B2 1955-60) who has lived in Paris for 40 years and attended the Dinner for the first time.
