Careers Speed-dating
11 December 2015

If you left approximately ten years ago and would be happy to come back and chat to the Hundreds pupils about your career sector, we'd love to hear from you.

The event will take place at the College early evening on Tuesday February 9th 2016, and there's the offer of supper in common room with the other OM participants afterwards by way of thanks.  We're particularly looking for people in Accountancy, the city, graphic design, advertising, Marketing, PR, Scientific careers and Law, but also happy to consider other areas that might be of interest to the year group.

If you think you can help, please email Elizabeth Headlam in the Guidance Department on

Careers ‘Speed Dating’ for Hundreds
07 May 2013

Careers NetworkingThe Marlburian Club and Careers Department’s first career ‘speed networking’ event left pupils buzzing on 26th February 2013. Club Committee Member, Harry Vickers (SU 2000-05), former Captain of the XV, gathered a different team of 15 young OMs to support the careers’ initiative which aimed to help pupils in the Hundreds explore and discuss career options.

Ed Colclough (Insurance), Charlie Kendrick (Wealth Management), Hugo Adair (Accountancy), Chris Bishop (Equities) and Zinka Bozovic (Financial PR) represented the Finance & Banking Industry. Different aspects of science and engineering were covered by Matt Humphrey,  James Lydiate and Henry Price, while Thirza Deboo shared her experiences of being a doctor at the Marlborough Practice. Julian De Segundo and Rebecca Naylor spoke about law, while marketing and sports event management were covered by Alex Greer and Chris Bovey respectively.

Feedback from pupils and OMs was very positive and we hope to repeat the event next year… More
